EMES: The HR Sequence
The HR Sequence consists of seven half-day learning modules that will be offered several times throughout the year. Successful completion of all seven modules and the on-line assessment for each one within a 3-year period, will earn you the designation of SCG Certified HR Partner. This series is for managers, supervisors, and other leaders in Sarasota County Government.

- Ensure that the right people are in the right place at the right time to accomplish the organizational mission
- Learn startling forecasts and potential challenges in recruiting and retaining an effective workforce of the future
- Apply the five steps of a workforce planning model
- Use effective value-based interviewing techniques
To earn the designation of SCG Certified HR Partner do the following for all sessions:
- Attend the session and be given an "F" (finished) status on your transcript, then
- Take the e-assessment for each session, and
- Return your certificate of completion for the e-assessment showing results of 85% or greater to Administration Center, OED 3rd floor c/o Nancy Seals or fax your results to 861-5762.
Terminology is available to help you become familiar with the terms and definitions for each session. Only the e-assessment certificate needs to be returned to OED.
